Shocking as it may seem, the president’s meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not go well. The world and most Americans watched in horror as the president and vice-president behaved like spoiled three-year olds. What an embarrassment for the United States.
It’s like these clowns got a Ferrari from their rich dad and then they drove it down the driveway, hit the mailbox, a curb, and someone’s cybertruck, popped the tires, and took a shit in the backseat and thought the world would admire their fancy vehicle and primo driving.
They couldn’t have made Zelenskyy more impressive and presidential if they’d tried. JFC. I feel quite certain Zelenskyy knew something like this would happen. I was puzzled when I read that he’d accepted the US “deal” for mineral rights, but now I understand the person playing 3-D chess was the president of Ukraine. Well, let’s face it, he only had to play checkers against these fools. He agreed to the deal because he was pretty certain the US would fuck it up and there wouldn’t be a deal at all. And guess what? There is no deal. Now he can accept the EU’s deal with a shrug and a “The US did not want a deal with us after all.”
I do think Zelenskyy would make just about any deal to keep Ukraine out of Russian hands, but the US has proved on live television that US diplomacy is Russian diplomacy and that Trump and Vance are fucking idiots.
Poor Marco Rubio sitting there, sinking lower and lower on that couch wondering what’s the point of being Secretary of State when the clowns have the State Department circling the drain. He’s a clown too if he thought this isn’t what would happen to him. I bet he had visions of someone snapping a cool picture of him on Air Force One with him wearing sunglasses and tapping away on a Blackberry looking like a girl boss.
Oops. That was Hilary Clinton.
