The GOP is made up of really awful people. Taking from the poor to give to the rich doesn’t help anyone but the rich and politicians who want to get reelected. Creating misery is not what the Founding Fathers intended for their new country.
When people in GOP states start losing their health insurance, get left on their own after a natural disaster, can’t afford food or housing, and suffer from poisoned air, water, and food, I fear they will continue to blame the Democrats for their misery.
If there’s ever a Democratic administration again that includes control of the house and senate, a small part of me thinks this unitary executive nonsense will come round to haunt the GOP. A larger part fears those Dems won’t fix anything, and yet another worries we will never have democracy back.
What an ignominious and tragic end to Enlightenment ideals.
